Showcase Cinemas Set To Re-Open Nine Massachusetts Locations On 8/28 Timed For Warner Bros.’ ‘Tenet’ And With ‘Be Showcase Safe’ Health & Safety Program
NORWOOD, Mass., Aug. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Showcase Cinemas, a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry, announced today that it will re-open nine Massachusetts theaters on Friday, 8/28 in time for the release of Warner Bros.’ highly anticipated Christopher Nolan film on Thursday, 9/3. Showcase Cinemas will re-open all theaters under the company’s “Be Showcase Safe” health and safety program. The program has been developed and certified with J.S. Held, an environmental, health and safety firm led by noted toxicologists, epidemiologists and an Assistant Surgeon General, US Public Health Service (Retired).
On 8/28, Showcase Cinemas is scheduled to re-open Showcase Cinema de Lux locations in Dedham, Revere, Randolph, North Attleboro, Foxboro, Blackstone Valley, Lowell and Woburn. Showcase Cinemas will also be offering private screenings for family and friends. For $300, customers can book a freshly sanitized auditorium for up to 10 guests (in Massachusetts), choose from a catalogue of ‘Bring Back’ films to screen and receive a regular-size popcorn and drink for each guest.
As part of the reopening, Showcase Cinemas is working with select local healthcare facilities to provide free movie-going opportunities as a thank you for their contributions during the COVID-19 outbreak.
